Zion Church Founder Released From Chinese Prison, Lands in US

Zion Church founder Ezra Jin was released from prison and reunited with his family in the United States after his case was raised in US-China diplomacy. The Guardian reported that he arrived on 3 July and that several other Zion members remained detained. It cited estimates of about 130 million Christians in China in total, including unregistered believers. His release offers a counter-example within the continuing pressure on independent churches.
