United States Opens Its Embassy in Jerusalem

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo marked the opening of the United States Embassy to Israel in Jerusalem on 14 May 2018, describing it as the fulfilment of President Trump's promise. He reiterated the US commitment to a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Other nations have since followed, moving their embassies to the city where the Temple stood.
