The Temple Institute and the Jewish Quarter Reconstruction and Development Company scheduled a Hak'hel reenactment in Jerusalem's Old City that included the unveiling of a just-completed brass laver, the basin priests wash at before Temple service. The programme also included the sounding of Temple-style silver trumpets. The Institute said it hoped the laver would be used in a rebuilt Temple.
