Temple Institute Launches Programme to Raise a Red Heifer in Israel

The Jerusalem Post·13 August 2015

The Temple Institute launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise a red heifer in Israel by implanting frozen Red Angus embryos in Israeli domestic cows, working with Israeli cattle ranchers. Rabbi Chaim Richman said about $33,000 had been raised. A red heifer is needed for the purification ritual that would allow Temple service to resume, and this is where the search began.
