Al Jazeera, citing the New York Times, reported that dozens of Jews were praying openly each day on a secluded eastern part of the Temple Mount, with police escorts no longer stopping them. Yehuda Glick was said to be livestreaming his prayers and said police had begun allowing more open prayer about five years earlier. Prayer that was once stopped by police was now taking place in the open.
