Nascent Sanhedrin Recognises a High Council of B'nai Noach

Israel National News·10 January 2006

Israel National News reported on 10 January 2006 that ten non-Jewish delegates had come to Jerusalem to pledge loyalty to the Laws of Noah before the nascent Sanhedrin, then led by Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz. The court recognised them as "the first high council of B'nai Noach". Each pledged to uphold the Seven Laws of Noah "under the guidance of the developing Sanhedrin". The gathering took place under a banner quoting Zephaniah 3:9, on all the nations speaking "a pure language". Image: Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz (left) at a meeting in Zürich, E.
