Discord Says ID Photos of About 70,000 Users May Have Been Exposed

BBC News·9 October 2025

Discord said official ID photos belonging to about 70,000 users may have been exposed after an attack on a third-party customer support provider. The BBC reported on 9 October 2025 that the affected service helped with age checks and that some personal details and support messages could also be involved. Discord said its own platform was not breached and it had contacted affected users. Identity documents supplied for age checks had become a target for attackers.
