Activists Dedicate 'Temple-Ready' Altar on Last Day of Hanukkah

The Jerusalem Post·10 December 2018

On the last day of Hanukkah, Temple activist groups unveiled and dedicated an altar outside Jerusalem's Old City for use in a future Third Temple. The roughly 4.5-tonne altar, built of bricks over a wooden frame with a two-tonne ramp, was funded by Hillel Weiss's Temple in Zion group and backed by the Committee of Temple Organizations. Organisers describe it as ready for service; whether it meets Jewish law is their claim.
