Al Jazeera Arabic reported that a visitor carried a sacrificial animal in a plastic bag through the Bab al-Ghawanmeh gate into the Al-Aqsa compound on Second Passover, attempting to slaughter it before police removed him. The Jerusalem Governorate condemned the attempt and called for protection of the compound. No sacrifice was completed, but the animal was brought onto the Mount itself.
