Jordan and Rwanda signed a memorandum of understanding in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, to cooperate on digital ID, digital government, AI, cloud computing, digital payments and interoperability. Jordan already links 550 services to its Sanad digital ID and made it mandatory for public services in April, while Rwanda is enrolling biometrics ahead of a national digital ID launch next year. The pact shows digital identity models being shared across borders, which matters because identity, payments and access to services are increasingly tied together.
