Israelis vote in election seen as pivotal for Gaza and region

Israelis have voted in a national election widely seen as one of the most consequential in the country's history, with polling showing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a near dead heat with former military chief Gadi Eisenkot. The BBC reports from Jerusalem on how each candidate's approach could differ on Gaza and the West Bank. The result will shape Israel's leadership during the war and the direction of its regional posture, including the status of Jerusalem and the surrounding territories, which Scripture treats as central to Israel's future.
