Innov8tif adds Malaysia's MyDigital ID check to EMAS eKYC platform

Malaysian verification firm Innov8tif has integrated the national MyDigital ID into its EMAS eKYC system, adding a check against National Registration Department records to document and facial biometric screening for banks, telecoms and fintechs. The credential, now used by 14.5 million people and tied to government services and new SIM registration rules, is shifting from a voluntary option toward everyday infrastructure. Each private-sector link makes state-backed digital identity harder to avoid in practice, a pattern that matters where access to banking and communication increasingly depends on verified identity.
