Global Attacks on Schools Surge 40% as World Conflicts Hit Post-WWII High

A new GCPEA study reports over 8,556 attacks on schools across 83 countries in 2024–2025, with more than 10,600 students and staff killed, injured, or abducted — as global conflicts reach their highest level since World War II. This deliberate targeting of the youngest and most vulnerable reflects the moral collapse Jesus warned would characterise the last days, where lawlessness increases and the love of many grows cold. The pattern aligns directly with Matthew 24:12 and Luke 21:9–11, where Christ described wars, conflicts, and societal breakdown as birth pains preceding His return.
